Mushroom Mince

There are many different kinds of pretend mince out there with Quorn being the best, Linda McCartney being the worst and any stores own version not worth touching. However, most Quorn products use egg whites which is very frustrating but just means that you have to get creative!

So I created mushroom mince. Mushrooms not only taste amazing but have a nice meaty texture. Here is my recipe as to how I made it.

Healthy Mushroom Mince

Ingredients
Mushrooms (as many as you need)
1 Onion
1 pepper

Chop the onion, pepper and mushrooms into small pieces. Fry them all together, either in water or a tablespoon of oil and cook until soft and browned.

I was using this mixture for tacos so I added in some taco seasoning, however, use it how you wish by adding tomato sauce for spaghetti bolognese, for example.
